Flotek, a leading IT and Managed Services provider, has become an authorised installer and partner of premier data & fibre cabling brand, CommScope. Making them part of a select group of cabling specialists in the principality.
CommScope is a designer and manufacturer of network infrastructure products, including network access systems, data centres, antennae, connectors, and various cable types and assemblies that enable our digital society to thrive and interact. CommScope constantly pushes the boundaries of communications technology and has been at the forefront of innovation in this area for more than 45 years, establishing a product and services that are globally recognised as the ultimate brand for IT and MSPs that focuses on sustainability and corporate responsibility.
Achieving this accreditation sees Flotek become an official partner of CommScope, authorised to supply, install, and certify CommScope data & fibre products across the UK. The company will be only the second in Wales to enter a partnership with the communications giant.
Just shy of two years since it was established, the Flotek Group has been on an impressive growth trajectory, completing 11 acquisitions, expanding into North Wales and Southern England, reaching a turnover of more than £10.5 million, and increasing the size of their team to more than 80 people. The Group has most recently forged critical client relationships with Swansea Bay NHS Trust, Powys Teaching Health Board, Cwm Taf Health Board and Hywel Dda University Health Board.
Achieving the prestigious accreditation from CommScope means that Flotek can now pursue larger contracts, and form communications partnerships for data cabling & fibre installation with core institutions across the UK, offering them a huge 25-year manufacturer-backed warranty.
Phillip Emanuel, Flotek Group Telecoms Director, said "We are very proud to have achieved the accreditation from CommScope and that our hard work has been recognised by the most trusted data & cabling brand in the communications sector.
This partnership will allow us to work with much larger installations throughout the UK like other NHS Trusts, local councils, data centres or emergency services. We're excited to build out our team to help us do this and will be recruiting 15 more engineers over the next 6 months to cope with the demand and grow this arm of our business to over £2 million in revenue within the next 2 years."
The team at Flotek, with instrumental support from Mike Sims, Cabling Manager, has worked tirelessly to achieve this landmark partnership, steadfastly upholding Flotek's excellent service and commitment to clients.
Regional Manager of CommScope, Robert Benton, said: "CommScope is very pleased to welcome Flotek onboard as a new partner. The Group has demonstrated unwavering commitment to their clients' connectivity, embodying CommScope's values of innovation and progress.
We look forward to working with Flotek going forward, better serving the UK's critical communications infrastructure and meeting the future of communications with energy-efficient designs and sustainable networks."
